Rightly or wrongly, Robert Frost has achieved a account as a poetof nature (Gerber 155). Yes, Frost does use imagery of nature in hispoems, but to say he is a nature poet is distorting his rhyme byoverlooking the poems darker complexions (Gerber 155). An aspect ofhis poems that is frequently lose is the main charactersinternal conflict. In The Road not Taken and Stopping By Woods On A blank Evening characters are faced with an inner conflictmetaphorically depict by nature. In these two poems Frost usesnature to hide the humans of how self-conscious the main characteractually is.Robert Frost was born in San Francisco, California on March 26, 1874.When his father died in 1885 he go to Massachusetts with his momand sister (Sweeny and Lindroth 5). He spent his whole manners in theMassachusetts area. Frost attended high school in that state, andthen Dartmouth College, but remained less than one semester(Michalowski). At the age of thirty-eight Frost decided to move himand his fami ly to England. While in England his first book, A BoysWill, was published in 1913. A few long time later he returned to Americawhere his second book, North of Boston, was published (Michalowski).Although he spent three years of his manner in England, little of his meter reflects any specific English imagery (Sweeny and Lindroth 11).Massachusetts and other youthful England areas were the setting for themajority of Frosts poetry.
